SB, you are starting to get me confused. Didn't both players miss Qa4+? So it seems the delamaziness laugh of both should be questioned, not just white? And are you saying that de la Maza fan managed to lose 3 out of 4 games in a match that was drawn 2-2? smile Or will you change your verdict on one of other games?

I am saying that the delamaziness is clearly affecting the player who handled the black pieces on that benoni, and by the way he missed he was losing again had white played 32.Bb6 (simple tactical shot), there was too much delamaziness in that guy i can tell you that, but anyways he gets away with all those things at blitz........................

no to mention the fact that again he failed to recognize how to defend material balance by simply playing 29..Rxf3 instead of the de la mazian 29..Nxe3??

Does anyone else feel like taking a guess with some or all of these games? Combo_Kid? Surely you can distinguish the tactical ineptitude of a silmanite from positional illiteracy of a delamazan? Anyone else? I figure maybe we should give you folks a day or two before disclosing the results smile

Of course not. The Black Delamazian knew that the White Silmanite would never spot Qa4+, so he could safely go for the tactically inferior Qb6 laugh :p laugh

Oh, I see. That totally makes sense smile What about the fact that you assigned 3 out of 4 wins to the silmanite (well, that's easy to do since he apprently had 3 whites smile ) ? You think I won 3 out of 4 but me and Fired decided to play a joke on all of you? smile

It just means that I was rooting for you RB!

Seriously, I confess that my solution is internal-consistently challenged after DeepNf3's Qa4+. I can now either revisit all 4 games, see if I can spot more tactical mistakes and come with a new result, or I can take the easy way out.

{retreats for a deep thought}

{comes back after retreat with smile on face}

Well, I've decided after ample consideration to take the easy way out. My newest verdict is that *both* players missed Qa4+ (they're not that good anyway), and therefore I keep with my original solution.

I think it is hard to tell - at least in 5/0 anyway.

Time was a pretty big factor in all the games so the last few moves of each of them are all low quality.

In response to DeepNf3's comments: Yes, both players should have seen Qa4. However, I think the opening in at least 2 of the games (the French and Bogo-Indian) was played fairly accurately so at least we know something. I have some comments on the games but I will wait until it's revealed who played what before I continue.

Yes, you're in denial. It's impossible anything could ever be misunderstood - we're all in denial.
