Well, in Revelation Chapter 13, Verse 18, the Bible says that 666 "is man's number."

There have been MANY attempts to figure out just what that the number 666 means.

Well, probably the best, and the most likely proper explanation has to do, first of all with the fact that, in the Bible, the number "7" represents the perfect number; (i.e., God's number.)

The number "6" is one less than the number "7", which symbolically means that it falls *short* of perfection.

So, as the number "777" could refer to the perfect three-fold Trinity of Almighty God; (i.e., God the Father, God the Son, (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit); the number "666" could refer to the imperfect and un-holy Satanic trinity of Satan himself, the AntiChrist, and the False Prophet, of which the "666-numbered" AntiChrist would be the second person in this evil, un-holy Satanic trinity.

That was a very good answer - and stuck to the topic of this thread - which maybe should have been posted in the religion thread, but here it has been easier to read, without reading through a lot of nonsense posts - sort of like this one...long and boring.

At the risk of encouraging you, your answer was one of fact - or at least sholarship. Posts like that can go anywhere (but please keep them in the religion thread as a rule).
