So how do you know who these people are? Is there a form you sign declaring that you have received christ as your savior? Is there a ritual? A secret handshake?

Ok, I'm playing catch-up here. I think this is where we are now.

Q: How do you know if someone has the mind of Christ?
A: Only the truly saved have the mind of Christ.

Q: So how do you know if someone is truly saved?

Since CF possess a Salvation Ouija board through which he used to judge (maybe he's repented in the past year) which people are saved or not saved regardless of their outward behaviour and exhibition of the fruits of the Spirit, this question should be easy to answer. I'm puzzled though since known liars, frauds, and the greedy he declares saved (and thus have the mind of Christ), while others who show all the fruits of the Spirit he declares damned.

What is troubling about this how this reflects upon Christianity. Apparently, having the mind of Christ means you can bilk your followers out of their money with schemes that line your own pocket; it means you take advantage of the elderly or the mentally infirm; it means you are free to rewrite your history and pretend what you originally said (which didn't come to pass) was never said. When I follow up on some of these people that CF says are saved (and thus have the mind of Christ) I learn that in order to be saved I need to put aside my morals.

If the truth will set you free then why do so many who are "saved" surround themselves with lies?

Well, Dr. David Jeremiah of Turning Point ministries is starting a brand new series of Bible messages from the Old Testament book of Job.

The overall title of this Bible series of messages on the book of Job is: -- "Tried, Tested, and Triumphant."

In this first message of this Bible series, Dr. Jeremiah talks about the fact that, although Job was a man of integrity who revered God and shunned evil, that God allowed Satan to test Job with all kinds of trials and horrible things that happened to Job, such as the loss of all of his wealth, and, all of his sons and daughters.

Dr. Jeremiah also talks about the reasons as to just *why* that Almighty God allowed all of these bad things to happen to a Godly man like Job, and, how we can apply this to our own lives as believers in Christ when bad things happen in our own lives that we do not understand why that God has allowed them to happen to us.

The main Bible passage that Dr. Jeremiah preached from for this message was from the entire first chapter of the Book of Job.

Some of the things that you say that I didn't address before, about mind of Christ, salvation etc., may be it wasn't understandable to you then, but I brought it up in post#s #154670, #154686, #154701.

Let us briefly go over that again, even if you feel irrelevant.

A human is composed of body, soul/mind and spirit.

Okay now, two things happens in salvation - 1. God forgives your sin to spare you from penalty, also 2. God frees you from sin to live sin free.

So that you live sin free, God creates a new man, who is created in righteousness and in true holiness, in you. Please read Ephesians 4:22-24. Once you are saved, there are 2 men inside you - a sinful old man and a perfect new man. Therefore two sets of body, soul/mind and spirit. Make sense?

Now the perfect new man has a body ineffective to sin, a mind which has the mind of Christ, a spirit which is the Spirit of God.

After salvation, you can continue to operate through the sinful old man or through the perfect new man. That is why Paul urges Ephesians in the same verses to put off the old man and to put on the new man, who has the mind of Christ and the Spirit of God. Keep thinking (reckon yourself Romans 6:11) that you have the new man and act on that basis, which is the process of working out your salvation, your mind and spirit will become one with God's mind (mind of Christ) and with God's Spirit (Spirit of God).

Now let us go back to your question. How do I know if I or someone else have the mind of Christ?

The basic minimum for you or that some one to have the mind of Christ is to be truly saved and thus the new man created in you by God. But the mind of Christ is there in one corner inside you but no one can see it yet. So when you start to put on the new man, the mind of Christ begins to exhibit from you.

So if you don't find the mind of Christ in someone who claims to be a saved person, it is either he is not truly saved or he is saved but he hasn't put on the new man yet.

Just thought of an analogy..

Say, in particular village, people were so poor that each of them had only one set of dress - a Pants, a Shirt and a Tie. They wore it so often that they got some infection in their body.

So a physician goes to the village, puts some medicine on them and heals them of their infection. In order for them to not catch the infection, he also gives out a new set of dress - A new pants, new shirt and a new tie.

Your question was like, how do I know if I or someone in that village have a new shirt?

If the physician had visited your house, you have a new set, so you have a new shirt. But until you wear it, people may not know. So you put on your new dress to show you are crystal clean now!
