Was just thinking of getting Thinking Fast and Slow Kindle edition, but it is nearly 20 dollars! I'll go for the interlibrary loan instead. Thanks for the book tip. Canadian dollars? I got the Kindle edition for $12.97 US, didn't feel that bad to me. I mean, it's not exactly cheap, but there'd be a lot less interesting stuff around if everything had to go for loose change.

I am waiting for the paperback version to come out, hoping to find a bunch of hardcover copies for cheap in the remainder pile at B&N. If I do I'll give one guess what my family is getting for xmas.

It would be a called strike? From a comment under the article, “A careful reading of official Major League Baseball Rule 6.08(b) suggests that in this situation, the batter would be considered “hit by pitch”, and would be eligible to advance to first base.“ The "hit" by pitch would actually be a plasma wave or nuclear detonation, but if Indiana Jones can survive a nuclear blast in a fridge, then why not the batter (if he can find first base in the hundred foot crater).

US dollars as I can only get Kindle books from US site. It was just over 19 dollars when i checked 2 days ago. Today it is just over $16. Fluctuates like airplane tickets, it seems. Or gas prices.

The price seems to fall quite rapidly. Just got the Kindle edition for EUR6.80 which is about US$8,28 (according to google just a moment ago). Thanks for the tip—I think it was worth my visit here today OK, I was curious enough to check the American amazon site as well. There it is currently at US$8.33.

$16.10 today for Kindle. There is a quicklet book by McKibbin on the book for $6.99.
There is an app that lets you know when some apps are free or are on sale. I wonder if there is a similar app for books. Put in the title of the book and it`ll notify you when it goes on sale.

Not a fully functional app, but a useful website for finding currently free books on Amazon.

Thank you Spock. Have already downloaded one book. A cook book, naturally. So if ever make it to your part of the world I'm invited for dinner?

So if ever make it to your part of the world I'm invited for dinner? @spock: If you ever make it to my part of the world here in Pennsylvania, you are certainly invited to come to my house for dinner! Chess Fan
