Interesting white pawn down bishop end game position with remote pawn majority for white. I think 47...d4 should win for black. idea d3, e3, e2 etc.

Here is my comments on this game. I didn't expect Kevin to come back as he didn't pick up a pawn that he should have picked up and lost a pawn after that for nothing. But then his end game handling was pretty decent against supergrobi.

42...Bc5–and for some reason I thought that my own pawn keeps my king from reaching the a-pawn. Even worse that I didn't check that possibility again later. lol

As Nxc6 would have probably won earlier for white after my stupid b5 idea, I can live with the result...

my mistake my annotation after 14...b5 was actually for 15.Bb2. I think 14... b5 should be ok even if there is no "idea" behind it as it does not really worsen the position. Because "no idea" moves generally would not have been analyzed at home and confuse opponents who mostly rely on theory. But yes the immediate follow up 15.bxc4 was bad.

From my point of view it was a very interesting and hard fought game, with the errors that were made being generally quite instructive (for us at least). No early 14 move draws here!

the only difference between the two players being that it was littlefish who made the last mistake.

Ritch, Thanks for the game.
It was an interesting game, and White's opening did not give any advantage. One option was to take an early pawn, instead i thought of utilising the d4 blockade. Black played well and was even better at one point, till ..Qd4. I found cxd3! giving up what looks like an exchange, but restricting the black queen from coming out of a1. I think Ritch could have played Bd5 or Be6!? instead of Qxa1 with a solid advantage. After Qxa4+! by white, it became clear that White had sufficient counterplay and even was better in the game.
