The german version of Fritz 13 has been released, from chessbase.de / I think the english version will follow soon.

The following links are Google translations from the german descriptions for the new online features "Let's Check!" and "LiveBook":

Also, the singlecore version of the Fritz 13 engine has been tested already for IPON, and the results indicate +39 Elo compared to (single) Deep Fritz 12 and +72 Elo over Fritz 12. By that, the Fritz engine maintains a top-10 rank but Houdini 2.0 is ~200 Elo stronger in computer chess games.

Has anybody figured out how to access the 10 hours of provate video instruction that is on the marketing materials for Fritz 13?

For the life of me I cannot find it.

Thanks,
COP

I have bought the download version and received links to setup files for databases (ger/eng) named like

Setup_FritzMultimediaDatabaseEng.exe and ...Deu.exe

I assume these set up a CBH database each, containing the videos. I did not download these. Anyway, if you have a DVD I think it should contain these setup files too, or at least the english version.

But sometimes, there are versions which contain such video material and other versions which do not. I am not sure about the english Fritz 13 version as I have the german version.

In the event anybody was following this, my customer got back to me and said he found the media files on the CD/DVD itself and had to manually transfer for them to his hard drive in order to view them.

Not the best on ChessBase's part. The installation should give you option of moving them to the hard drive, and if you elect not to, where you can find them on the disk.

Inky, if you read this and can pass it along to ChessBase it would be great. You seem to have a Batphone to ChessBase....my link seems to be down. smile
