I still can't get used to this 3-1-0 scoring system in chess. If Carlsen draws in the final round tomorrow, Wang Hao could surpass him with a win against Giri (who can also still win the tournament) and take clear first in spite of only scoring +3 compared to Carlsen's +4 in the traditional standings. Is it really necessary to punish a player like Carlsen for not being "combative" enough? Contest standings after round 9: Pred. Square
