In the following **excellent** Biblical commentary, Donna Wasson talks about some of the reasons why that the United States of America, (and, also the entire world for that matter), are having **more and more** HUGE problems, natural disasters, tragedies, etc., as we move along in these End Times here upon this Earth, which is leading up to the **AT ANY TIME NOW** Rapture of the Church and the subsequent **horrific** seven-year Tribulation period that will follow the Rapture of the Church. Without further explanation, here is the link to this **excellent** Biblical commentary by Donna Wasson: --- "A Land in Denial: Part II"Chess Fan

Below, I have posted a link to a brief personal account from a former unsaved Satanist who went to Hell, and, who was then mercifully resusitated and after that, he received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. In this brief personal account, this man describes what his **TOTALLY HORRIFIC** time that he spent in Hell was **really like!!** Okay, directly below is the link to this personal account by this man: *** "Former Satanist's Account Of Dying And Going To Hell -- Who Accepted Jesus As His Savior" ***Chess Fan

Chess Fan, you obviously like sharing and talking about the things of the Lord - I wonder if you've ever thought about joining Ship of Fools. It's a discussion board where all sorts of things are related to Christianity are discussed. You might like to have a look, and I also thought you would find it eye-opening in terms of what different Christians believe. You and I have sharply disagreed over various issues, despite the fact that we both call ourselves Christians, so perhaps you'd find it helpful to see something more of the broad range of views that Christians hold. Ship of Fools has Catholics, Orthodox, Evangelical Protestants, Lutherans and other Mainline Protestants, Methodists and more!

Chess Fan, .... I wonder if you've ever thought about joining Ship of Fools. Kevin, the board name itself does not sound right?? Malachi 3:16, Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

I don't quite understand what you're getting at, sorry, but Ship of Fools is certainly not a Christian-only website so a more - how to say it - respectful name wouldn't be appropriate.
Every now and then a newcomer to Ship of Fools expresses shock at some of the so-called 'un-Christian' content. Some of the regulars have a phrase for that sort of complaint - I Thought This Was A Christian Website. It's not a Christian website, it's a website about Christianity!

Any science discussion threads, Kevin? I liked the look of the Dead Horse category where nothing gets resolved--ever.

Quite a few, Ken. There's this recent thread about comments made by a well-known US church leader about the teaching of evolution in schools. Also this thread from when the Higgs Boson results were announced, and this one about education proposals made by Texas Republicans. (The last one isn't about science, as such, but it touches on the issue of how science and Christian faith intersect.) I absolutely love the site - the contributors have such a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and there's discussion about all sorts of issues relating to Christianity in some way. And, yes, the discussion boards are named in an entertaining but also helpful way - so Hell is for ranting, Purgatory is for vigorous but civil discussion, and Heaven is for fun and creativity.

What I meant was, what is useful would be discussions borne out of fear of God rather than out of fear of men.

As usual, in the aftermath of the recent shootings at the Batman movie premiere in Aurora, Colorado, much of the outcry is about how we need more gun control, when, the **REAL ISSUE** is NOT guns; but, instead, is IS that these cold-blooded, mass killings of people are done out of the evil and the wickedness that lies resident in the hearts of these unsaved, demonically inspired people who DO these acts of utterly vile and depraved mass murdering evil! Below, I have posted a quote of an *excellent* and "right to the point" very short open letter to the makers of the Batman movie that I think is worth sharing. It was written by Charles Hurt, a staff writer for the Washington Times: "When you die, your gravestones should read: Here lie men who created such horrific, meaningless violence in such realistic scenes that a sicko carried it out for real and shot 70 people, killing 12, including a 6-year-old girl.
Which brings us to Warner Brothers, those titans of decency. You bankrolled The Dark Knight Rises and so many other pointlessly violent movies that infect feeble minds and bring hatred upon America. You, it is reported, are feeling really sad about those poor saps who paid to see your wicked movies — only to have the very scenes come alive and kill them in the dark, sticky rows between seats of a movie theater.
Out of your “respect” for these people, you declared you would not announce box-office receipts from this weekend’s snuff film. Instead, you will count your $150 million in bloody money — privately." Indeed, kudos to Charles Hurt for his "telling it like it is!!" Chess Fan

I'm surprised that you'd prefer to post things here that people hardly ever respond to than get into real discussion with fellow brethren in Christ from a wide range of traditions at Ship of Fools...
