Anyone else enter a team for the contest mentioned on Chessbase? I did real well the first round today with a perfect sweep of all wins. Two were white wins and six were black wins, giving me 30 points out of a maximum possible 32 points.

Here's my team:

Actually I have to amend the point maximum to 40 points. It's possible to have a round where all 10 players are playing instead of being on reserve. So I got 30/40 points. Still not a bad round.

They changed the link, so here's the new one for my team:

I only scored 25 points in round two as Yifan sat for a 2nd time in a row instead of playing. I got points from Aronian this time around, but lost points because Zhukova sat out. Just bad luck on the player rotation. Hopefully I can get a few rounds where all my picks play at the same time.

Current points for my team: 55 after round 2

After 4 rounds, I'm currently 2nd place for the money prize and 7th overall out of 235 entries. Kamsky losing and a few of my other pics drawing cost me several points this round, but I'm still doing really well.

One round to go and I'm tied for first for the cash prize. What an exciting finish it will be!

Technically, I won the last round, but I may still lose on the bonus questions. I'll just have to wait and see how those went.

I heard back that I tied for first place and technically won on rating performance of my team members (according to their own rules they posted before the start of the contest). However, they felt really bad that the other team would get nothing since it's "Winner Takes All". So I told them I would split the $260 with the other team out of good sportsmanship.
