Okay, Russianbear, I have a question for you.

When are we going to schedule the Matt - Russianbear Match to decide the overall ChessNinja Message Board chess champion?? smile

What else can we expect from the ORKs? (octal, russianbear, Ken)
I like it. Don't think we'll strike any terror into halflings though, much less CN members! smile

Couldn't resist it, huh "Gandalf"? I knew you'd take the ring...snip...I've done a little more digging and come up with a partial list of the spells you acquire as a result of wielding one of the Four Rings:
Maybe I should change my name to Kendalf?

Good to know about some of those powers that I now have. Eradication of lice infestations in ospreys fits in nicely with my jobs. Eradicating lice infestations on me would be even better, but I'll not quibble about getting free powers.

My weather predicting powers are growing already...I went outside and knew it was going to snow. Sure enough, 10 seconds later, it snowed!

Chess Fan,

Matt is indeed considered by many to be the best player on ChessNinja forum, at least among those who post regularly. As for me, I have only played in one TONC tournament (I think it was TONC 4), and I didn't even win that. I tied for 1st-2nd places with Ulf Hammarstrom and Ulf won on tie breaks. And I don't think I've proven than I am a better player than people like kalten and TripleBrain (and some others) who are very strong.

Also, I until recently, I haven't played much chess at all so I became very rusty. However, for a few weeks now I have been working on my chess - probably more seriously than I ever did. I plan to play in the next TONC tournament, and if I do well - who knows, maybe I will then indeed challenge Matt to some sort of a match smile

Hey! Don't write us all off so easily! Matt may very well be stronger than me, but I won't know until I play him a few times.

It's a pity the motive has been revealed... I sort of preferred the suspense! :p
