I checked my Fide rating, and saw this new feature:
Quote:
Color Percentage:
18 game(s) with White :
Win: 61% Draw: 17% Loss: 22%
17 game(s) with Black :
Win: 24% Draw: 24% Loss: 52%

Statistics are valid for the tournaments submitted with color information after January 2007
Hmm, didn't know the colour had that much influence on my results. Study time on openings should concentrate on the black side. Interesting feature.

Yes, food for thought. You really have a dramatic difference, Akselborg! You must have your opening lines with White pieces worked out to a win!

For me, the difference is a lot smaller, but I am actually better with Black! Probably from studying with Morozevich when I was a kid. wink
Also, both of us can be proud of our low draw percentage.

Kalten's:

Color Percentage:
73 game(s) with White :
Win: 41% Draw: 23% Loss: 36%
57 game(s) with Black :
Win: 47% Draw: 26% Loss: 27%

Funny, how I managed to play 16 more games with White pieces wink ninja

15 game(s) with White :
Win: 27% Draw: 33% Loss: 40%
14 game(s) with Black :
Win: 50% Draw: 0% Loss: 50%

My statistiscs looks a little funny, especially with black!

The statistiks are unfortunately not correct because I know I have played two draws with black.

I am also not quite sure how they get 29 games, since I have played only 16 rated games. If they include unrated games from those 3 tournaments I have played 22 games. I have no idea where the remaining 7 games are from.

Speaking as a TD, I'm sure the color discrepancy is the consequence of the TD being too fed up to deal with yet another hassle. Sending in the color for each player for each round would really annoy me, and I wouldn't do it if I could get away with it. If a player wants to know his results by color he can always look at his scoresheets!

Kalten you play a lot, 130 games since January 2007, pro level.

My good score with white and bad score with black is because I have in general faced lower rated players with white and higher rated players with black in those 35 games. With more games this will even out, and the percentages will become more informative. I did check my score with white and black some years ago, actually scoring slightly better with black.

Kramnik's percentage is predictable, no wins with black in 28 games!
Quote:
29 game(s) with White :
Win: 52% Draw: 45% Loss: 3%
28 game(s) with Black :
Win: 0% Draw: 93% Loss: 7%
Colour do not mean much for Ivanchuk:
Quote:
87 game(s) with White :
Win: 38% Draw: 54% Loss: 8%
86 game(s) with Black :
Win: 37% Draw: 55% Loss: 8%

The percentages are all wrong for me on the site. I wrote to FIDE about it but they ignored me.

You will have better luck writing to a National Federation about the specific tournaments results that were submitted with the wrong colors. Unless, of course, the colors for all the individual games are correct, but the sums are wrong. eek

I mean, they have it WAY off. Like they show a draw percentage of something like 60-some percent with black, when I have NO draws with black!

Im satisfied with my percentages smile

Edit: I hate FIDE

2277+15 = 2292 frown still 8 points short....

I suggest you learn to look at the right graph
10 game(s) with White :
Win: 20% Draw: 40% Loss: 40%
9 game(s) with Black :
Win: 33% Draw: 0% Loss: 67%
Statistics for Ted Cross, indeed 0 draws with black smile
