Might as well start a thread, even though it looks like the game will be ending in a draw shortly. A Slav was played, I believe the same moves as in game 2 up until move 15. Gelfand went into the endgame with the bishop pair, but nothing seems to have come from it.

It's a probable draw, but slight edge to White in a Rook and Minor piece middlegame.

Would Gelfand's chances increase or decrease with a rook trade? I feel like a more centralized king and a bishop might give him some play.

Edit: Game is officially drawn. Another well played game, though a bit drier than yesterday's. Tomorrow is a rest day ... I look forward to round 5, in which Gelfand has his second White in a row. Maybe we will see e4??

It's a 12 game match; so the colour reversal would be after 6 games.

I think White would have had better chances in a minor piece ending (with the Rook trade).
