Candidates matches begin May 5 in Kazan at 7am EDT. Kramnik-Radjabov, Kamsky-Topalov, Grischuk-Aronian, Mamedyarov-Gelfand.
The 20th and final edition of Melody Amber blindfold and rapid tournament begins on the 12th. Anand, Carlsen, Kramnik, Aronian, Topalov, Nakamura, Grischuk, Ivanchuk, Karjakin, Gelfand, Gashimov, and Giri.
Candidates matches begin on May 3 in Kazan. Topalov (BUL) - Kamsky (USA), Kramnik (RUS) - Radjabov (AZE), Aronian (ARM) - Grischuk (RUS), Gelfand (ISR) - Mamedyarov (AZE).

Back in action for the NH Tournament. Rising Stars: Nakamura, Giri, So, Caruana, Howell Veterans: Gelfand, Svidler, Nielsen, van Wely, Ljubojevic. I'm on ICC Chess.FM starting 7:30am NY time. Argh.
Ivanchuk wins the Capablanca Memorial again. Carlsen leads Kings tournament by a point with two games to play.
Karjakin and Jakovenko lose in Poikovsky; 5 players with 3/5. Chess PR and Judit Polgar; Wang Hao and Bu Xiangzhi in China; Gelfand beats Aronian in Leon final.
Lots of draws in the first four rounds. Ivanchuk already on -2 and pretty much out of the running to get the big result he needed to make the candidates. Leko, Ponomariov, Gelfand, Inarkiev, Eljanov, Gashimov lead on +1.

After 7 of 11 rounds, Ivanchuk a half-point ahead of Carlsen. Gelfand and Karjakin right behind.
Topalov leads on +3 with two rounds to go, a full point ahead of Grischuk. They meet on Tuesday. Monday is an off day.
Linares begins Saturday at 10am ET. Topalov, Aronian, Gashimov, Vallejo, Gelfand, Grischuk.
Six of the ten teams are tied for the lead with every team already tasting defeat. Azerbaijan-Russia in today's 4th round.
