Worth 1000 Bulgarian Words
On June 22 we saw a Bulgarian news report that said women's world champ Antoaneta Stefanova's simul in Tripoli was cancelled. Thanks to writer Paul Hoffman we know this is not the case. At the very least we know she gave one simul, because he played in it and took photos. (Maybe another was cancelled?) A full set of Paul's entertaining pictures from Tripoli will be posted at ChessBase.com later today.

I am competing in a simul with Garry Kasparov at the London Chess Centre soon and much the same thing happened. There were doubts as to whether it would go ahead due to the Tigran Petrosian Memorial being so close to it. But hopefully it will go ahead and hopefully we will have as good a quality board as there is in the picture there. Wish poor old Garry luck, he'll need it!

Where are the pictures? I've been waiting all day.
